"High Altitude Approach"
Boeing B-29 Superfortress, Photographed in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Sky background photographed in the Serra Nevada mountain range. Contrails created digitally and all composited in Adobe Photoshop CC. (and yes, I realize that clouds of this nature do not exist at 35,000 feet, but blue skies are visually just not that interesting.)

XCOR Experimental "Lynx" Spacecraft making re-entry for a landing at Mojave Air & Space Port
Nikon D800 AF Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 Prime Lens originally photographed at the Mojave Experimental fly-in 2014 more at: http://www.mojaveflyin.com/ & at http://xcor.com/lynx/
The Lynx is XCOR’s entry into the commercial reusable launch vehicle (RLV) market. This two-seat, piloted space transport vehicle will take humans and payloads on a half-hour suborbital flight to 100 km (330,000 feet) and then return safely to a landing at the takeoff runway.

Special Long EZ N26MS owner and builder; Mike Melvill. The first U.S. Commercial Astronaut. Taken at Mojave Air & Space Port during the Mojave Experimental Fly-In appearance by the Phantom Air Racing Team.
Nikon D-800 through AF Nikkor 16mm Prime Lens.

Composite image of Astronaut Mike Melville's long EZ taken at the Mojave Air & Space Port during the Mojave Experimental aircraft fly-in. Background was photographed while in flight with Pete Plumb over the Southern Sierra Nevada mountain range. In post production I merged both of my images into this composite image using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 software.

Live fire exercise?  Everyone asks me, “How the Hell did you get this shot?”…I created this image using the picture of the F-22 Raptor that I shot during the Reno Air Races. It was an exposition flight between races to wow the crowd. It flew directly overhead and opened its bay doors for only a few seconds, right as I snapped the picture. Naturally during such flights in proximity to a large audience they would never have any ordinance on board. So, I did some research and found out that the Aim-120 AMRAAM Missile was a typical payload for this fighter. And after looking at many photos of how this missile appears while in flight, I re-created one in Adobe Photoshop CC using the pencil brush and eraser to make the body, and airbrush tool for the thrust segments both on separate layers so they could be used independently. Once I had one missile created duplicating it five more times and lowering the levels to match the shadows in the launch bay gave me the ones not yet fired inside the Raptor. The Aim-120 AMRAAM Missile in flight was slightly scaled up in size and a highlight coming from the same direction as it appears in the background image was added. At that point it was easy to take both the thrust and missile body layers and run through some motion blur filters to make it really starts moving as if the camera shutter was not quite fast enough to stop the action.
Hope this does not kill the pictures for you, that truly believe it to be real.
